Hollywood Hit Men, the first book in the Cassidy Clarke Series from Thomas and Mercer (U.S.)
"Michele Domínguez Greene crafted a story that plays out like a film-you don't just read it, you experience it. The plot is fresh, gritty and full of heart. The characters leap off the page with energy and personality. "
"A new series with a great adventure! It fits perfectly with other fall releases by such greats as Grisham, Connolly, Evanovich and Patterson."
"The Lost Angels is a thoughtful, character-driven thriller that balances suspense with empathy. Readers who appreciate police procedurals with strong female leads, layered relationships, and socially conscious storytelling will find a lot to admire here. It’s a worthy continuation of Cassidy Clarke’s journey and a promising sign of where the series is headed."
"Michele Domínguez Greene’s Cassidy Clarke series begins with Hollywood Hit Men, a sharp, fast-moving procedural that introduces a capable but still-forming protagonist. The Lost Angels builds on that foundation with a more emotionally layered, socially conscious story that expands both the stakes and the moral terrain of the series. Looking at them side by side reveals how Greene grows her world, her characters, and her thematic ambitions.
The first book is a stylish thriller; the second book provides a deeper, more human investigation."
The Cassidy Clarke Series from Thomas and Mercer/Amazon follows new 'boot' Cassidy Clarke, who joins the LAPD, following in the footsteps of her father, brilliant but controversial homicide detective Bill Clarke. Forced into retirement, Bill is a jaded, old school style cop in a changing world. Cassidy is idealistic and eager to be part of a new, modern, progressive police department trying to repair its tarnished image. Bill's final case involves a serial killer duo, dubbed The Hollywood Hit Men by the sensationalist press; two violent predators who are terrorizing young women in the sprawling city. When Cassidy happens to arrest one of the Hit Men on a routine call, she is thrust into a high stakes investigation that puts her at the center of internal police power plays. And in the sights of a distrubed murderer. As she struggles to navigate this uncertain territory, Bill's ex girlfriend is the next victim and suddenly, he is a suspect, forcing Cassidy to question eveerything she believes in. A father/daughter thriller, two generations of LAPD cops, wanting to do their best but forced into compromises that test their faith and family. In The Lost Angels, a more realistic and seasoned Cassidy gets involved the plight of runaway street kids in Hollywood, many of whom are disappearing. Certain that there is something sinister at work, she and Bill both try to help. 17-year-old Evie Peacock hires Bill to find her best friend, Layla Waters while Cassidy uncovers a link to an elusive, savvy predator who is stalking the kids on the streets where they live, offering them the thing they need the most: a place to belong. When people close to the case start ending up dead, Cassidy and Bill know they must identify and stop him before he gets to Evie.

The Ninth Girl
“An unputdownable, ripped-from-the-headlines thriller that will keep you turning pages long past midnight. The fourth installment in the addictive Special Agent Emily Ray series. Perfect for fans of Karin Slaughter, Lisa Gardner and Melinda Leigh.
A dark, disturbing and gripping mystery thriller that pulled me in from the beginning.”
“The Ninth Girl is one of those thrillers that becomes increasingly unsettling as the story unfolds. The premise itself is disturbing: young women are kidnapped and forced into a horrific scheme involving surrogacy and exploitation, with a carefully planned criminal network operating behind the scenes.

Michele had a very busy 2025-26, with two book series deals, from Storm Publishing in the U.K. and Thomas and Mercer/Amazon in the U.S.!
"It was a very crazy, mind bending kind of time...very demanding writing schedules and deadlines to meet, while often working on two manuscripts simultaneously. I want very much as an author in this genre, to develop my characters fully so they read like real people, with complex and conflicting emotions. The plot is driven by the characters' needs and fears, their strengths and weaknesses... rather than having them do things to advance the plot. I always want them to resonate on an emotional level with my readers so I lose myself sometimes in their stories and struggles. Which makes transitioning from "writer mode" to "single mom of a teenager mode" rather challenging with school commutes and schedules, running a home, pets to the vet and all the rest! But in the end, I am quite happy with the way all the books came out, in both series and I hope my readers enjoy them. This is the best job in the world!"
